4 Eylül 2015 Cuma 21:00
MSO & SIETTA @ garajistanbul

Grubun The Come Back adını taşıyan ilk EP'si hem eleştirmenlerden hem de dinleyicilerden tam puan alınca 2011 tarihli ilk albümleri The Seventh Passenger'ın da önü açılmış oldu.

MSO
Formed in 1993 the Melbourne Ska Orchestra is an orchestra with a difference. Comprising of up to 34 members it is a juggernaut with some of Australia's finest musicians. The band can perform with as little as 14 members and as many as 34+.
The self titled Melbourne Ska Orchestra debut album was released to rave reviews in 2013 and picked up 2 ARIA nominations that year. Now, after more than a decade of sold-out shows and electrifying Australian festival appearances at Bluesfest, Golden Plains, Caloundra, Queenscliff and AWME the band have acquired an impressive, ever-growing and dedicated overseas fan base. MSO sold out their debut London show, appeared on the bill for the iconic Glastonbury Festival and played a headline set to a crowd 50,000 at the Montreal Jazz Festival during their 2014 tour, without blowing their own horn it is safe to say MSO are quickly becoming a household name! "
Drawing on the vast amount of musical legends that have shaped the genre from the Jamaican movement through to UK Two Tone and the present day Latino Ska, MSO demonstrate a unique Australian vision with the exuberance and freewheeling colour of contemporary Ska. The outfit have crafted their sound with unexpected arrangements and seductive harmonies, of powerful horns and foot-stomping drums. Each song is like a vignette from a Ska-infused storybook, full of cinematic colour and characters bursting to life from every verse.
The mighty Melbourne Ska Orchestra continue their feat for world wide Ska domination with a 2014 ARIA nomination for 'Best Live Act', plans to release a sophomore album in 2015 and continue touring nationally and internationally.

Sİetta
Born from a love for soul and pulsating beats and production, bred from the madness of the Darwin heat is Sietta a duo who encapsulates the passionate vibe of both.
Vocalist Caiti Baker and producer/instrumentalist James Mangohig both come from strong musical backgrounds; the former being raised on the blues via her musician father, the latter growing up with gospel surrounding him. In developing their craft as established and experienced musicians, both Caiti and James spent years honing their already clear and present talents before coming across each other in 2005. Before long, the duo had begun working their way onto the radar of the local industry off the back of their debut EP, The Come Back Easy Play.
Sietta's debut album The Seventh Passenger proved cataclysmic for the act, bringing them to the attention of Elefant Traks, who signed them up in 2011. The album spawned radio singles in What Am I Supposed to Do?, No Longer Hurt and a fruitful year of touring through 2012-13, supporting the likes of Hermitude and Paul Kelly. It was in their exploration of soul, blues, hip-hop and electronica that brought this twosome from the apparent dust bowl of the Top End to the attention of national audiences via community and triple J radio waves.
A fusion of live vocals that penetrate the futuristic atmosphere conjured by programmed beats that roll deep through each track is one of the main impressions a Sietta listener or audience member will come away from each experience with. Whether it's through a gig at The Vanguard in Sydney, or a showcase at Liverpool Sound City to some international newcomers, Caiti and James are always thinking ahead to how they can make each production a standout and more memorable than the last.
February 2014 marked the release of Sietta's anticipated sophomore album The Invisible River; a maturation of the foundations laid on the debut, the new Sietta record is a snapshot of the duo in their next creative phase. Expect the same ambitious nature introduced with earlier Sietta releases, coupled with a refreshed sense of creative drive and a bold approach to the union of powerful lyrics and equally as entrancing musical arrangements. Not content with resting on their laurels, Sietta prove once more that they stand on their own in the Australian industry - their star continuing to burn brighter than ever before.
