At the heart of the new Ultra-III are two pickup systems, powering the first are Epiphone's new ProBucker humbucking pickups, the second system features Shadow's patented Nano Mag pickup embedded discretely at the end of the fingerboard
Built discretely into the bridge pickup mounting ring is a full-function, chromatic tuner
Three output options include a traditional ¼" mono output for both humbuckers and Nano Mag mixed into one signal, a ¼" stereo output that allows you to send the humbucker signal to one amp and the NanoMag signal to another, and a USB output that you can plug directly into your computer and use guitar applications such as Natuve Instruments Guitar Rig 4LE
